I know how it feels to be doing all the “right” things but find yourself stuck in the same dynamic, just doing more and continuing to plan for that one day.

But … sometimes we also must get support to look at the world in a new way, adopt new beliefs and habits, release those old thoughts and patterns of our unconscious mind — despite our best conscious intentions. I thought I was doing all the right things – right view, right efforts, right actions, and right mindfulness. I was a poster for health and fitness. Or so I thought — until I developed a lifestyle cancer.

Overcoming cancer changed me. It gave me the courage to slow down. I was able to re-examine my life in a fresh light and make deep inner changes that radiate outwards. Audacious changes.

About Breathwork

Your breath can improve your body functions as well as clear and calm the mind. Science has corroborated many of the benefits of simple breathing practices.

However, most of us are not using the full power of our breath or breathing effectively.

You can learn to influence and change the pattern of your breathing to help decrease anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia; to increase your focus and self-awareness, help you cool down, balance energy and stabilize your moods. Yoga breathing practices, pranayama, clear obstacles in your body, allowing breath and energy to flow freely. They can move you from feeling stressed in a fight-flight-freeze state of the sympathetic nervous system into a calm, peaceful state of rest-digest-regenerate of the parasympathetic nervous system. When every cell in your body has adequate oxygen to function properly, you feel vibrant, balanced and in optimal health.

Breathing practices are often integrated into coaching. They’re powerful, simple and can used in public or private situations.

Yoga means to yoke, join or unite. Its purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health and happiness.

Yoga can heal and enrich your life. It focuses on individual change and offers practical methods for controlling body and mind. When your mind cannot concentrate due to tension, harmful emotions or illness in the body, energy gets stuck and cannot flow freely. Yoga can bring your body, mind and spirit into mutual harmony.

Yoga was developed over 3,000 years ago as a comprehensive system for well-being on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It can help improve the quality of your life in fitness, vitality, flexibility, mental clarity, healing, and peace of mind and reduce anxiety, stress relief and harmful emotions.

My yoga practice began at the age of 16. I have studied and practiced a range of yoga disciplines for over 25 years including meditation, hot yoga, vinyasa flow yoga, yin yoga, gentle yoga, and restorative yoga as well as breathing techniques known as pranayama. I am a yoga teacher (200 RYT) in Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Classical Yoga. I am trained to teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Gentle, Yin, Nidra, Yoga for Parkinson’s disease, Myofascial release and Yoga for Trauma.

Yoga Nidra is deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It brings incredible calm, mental clarity and deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra can ease insomnia, decrease anxiety, alleviate stress, reduce PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependency, heighten awareness and focus, transform negative habits, behaviors and ways of thinking and foster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity. You’re guided into a “deep sleep” –an altered state of consciousness between asleep and awake—where you’re fully conscious but your body and mind are fully at rest and ease. You can explore what you need in the moment as well as release old patterns.

Together, we’ll design a strategy.  I’ll guide you step by step to shift your mindset and release old patterns. You’ll learn how to make small daily shifts that result in audacious changes. You’ll begin to think and feel differently.  You’ll become aware of how to use your mind to assist you in making powerful choices and decisions. Ones that transform and build your well-being to thrive. You’ll embrace cyclical living in rhythm with your unique constitution and time of life. You’ll slow down to do more, to feel more.

You’ll get twelve 1:1 coaching calls, a weekly email check-in, unlimited email and text messages during business hours and useful tools and practices to live a healthy, happy holistic life that aligns with your goals and dreams.

Habit science has shown that a small 1% change in the right direction every day for a year results in a whopping 33% change. It also tells us that it takes about six months for new behaviors to become sustainable habits. Our brains can be stubborn and resist change. But they also are resilient and have an amazing capacity once we know how to partner with them.

Bring your biggest challenge. You’ll begin the process of discovering your unique constitution and how to make simple daily changes to improve your health and overall well-being.

Understand your unique constitution physically, mentally and spiritually for this time in your life. Discover how to design a daily routine to feel energized, alert, calm and whole. You’ll learn which foods and habits contribute to your specific well-being and which ones throw you off balance – either physically, mentally or spiritually. You’ll learn why it’s important to live with the rhythm of nature as well as for your unique constitution and time of life. You’ll have fun discovering more about yourself and how small, daily shifts can result in a balanced, healthy, energized and happy life. You’ll get six coaching sessions, unlimited email and text messages, customized plans, tips, food choices, and useful tools for designing your daily practices and learn how to master small daily shifts that result in transformative changes.

First, you’ll begin with a 45 minute consultation to identify your goals, challenges and unique constitution. Then, based on our conversation, I’ll design a practice specifically for you. We’ll meet for an hour to review the plan and practice it together. You’ll leave with a printed copy of a personalized practice complete with details that you can do several times a week at home. You’ll be able to contact me by email or text if questions arise.

Plan a night of kindness and self-nourishment for your friends, team, or group. We’ll begin with a Yoga Flow, move into 30 minutes of deep relaxation and intention-setting with Yoga Nidra and end with special treats and elixirs to delight the body, mind and spirit. Group sessions can be customized for 10-15 people.

Take your Yoga Nidra deeper with meditative self-inquiry. In a Co-medication Dyad, we meet one-on-one and welcome everything, just as it is from a stance of compassion and non-judgment. With curiosity, we meet whatever comes up as a messenger. As your guide, I may ask questions to assist you in letting go of the story and experiencing whatever comes up as a sensation in the body. Yoga Nidra recognizes that the issues are in the tissues and deep healing happens when we become intimate with the body, learning to deeply listen to it and experience body as the great integrator. The body is a wonderful lie detector and always tries to tell us when something is right or not right.
