Transition into Fall with these Tips

Fall is a time of transition.  The life science of Ayurveda teaches us that the outer environment affects our inner body and mind. As we move from the fiery hot summer to the cool, crisp, rough, windy and unpredictable days of autumn, we can get unbalanced.

Physically we might feel ungrounded. Mentally we may have more scattered thoughts, be distracted easily.  Emotionally, we might be prone to anxiety, nervous tension.  However, we can adopt seasonal changes — called ritucharya in Ayurveda — to maximize the positive energy of fall and minimize any harmful affects.  These five tips will help you choose the lifestyle habits and practices to remain balanced and energized through the season.

Fall also is a time to release what no longer serves us and plant the seeds of growth for the next cycle.  Think of nature and a tree.  If we model our lives to be in rhythm, we will live in harmony and balance with our environment.

What do you want to let go?  What do you want to be open to, to planting the seeds for growth in the future? I’d love to hear from you.
