Use Opposites to Balance

Like attracts like and opposites balance is one of the principles of Ayurveda.

Hippocrates first taught this in the 5th century BC. Sometimes we do this naturally, like drinking water when our mouth is dry and we’re thirsty. But other times, we lean into more of the same and create an imbalance in our bodymind. Ayurveda knows that energy moves and builds exponentially. By bringing more awareness and intention to the everyday choices we make, we can create more comfort, ease and balance. Next time you’re craving something or feeling lethargic or irritable, consider the opposite and you’ll be on your way to cultivating true health and wellness.
