Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation process that is intended to induce physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It’s been called the deepest form and relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a guided practice that takes you beyond the waking state of consciousness, past the dreaming state of consciousness and into a form of deep sleep where you’re actually conscious. Just 45 minutes is equivalent to a three-hour nap! That’s why Yoga Nidra is one of my favorite go-to practices to de-stress or re-energize.
Yoga Nidra practice brings incredible calm, mental clarity and restoration. It helps you reach real positive goals, release long held emotions, transform negative habits, decrease anxiety, ease insomnia, reduce PTSD, heighten focus and stimulate new ways of thinking. But the real wisdom comes from the practice.
Have you practiced Yoga Nidra? Would you like to? Leave me a comment and if you’d like, I’ll send you one of my Yoga Nidra recordings.
